If you are not getting your notifications from Brightspace to your SUNYOrange Gmail account - you may have an incorrect default email address in Brightspace. Please check your settings by following the steps below, where you might be able to set the default email address to the desired sunyorange address.
Log into the MySUNYOrange portal, click on Brightspace - which brings you to the Brightspace LMS home page.
Next click on your name in the upper right corner, then click on Notifications. You should see the preferred default email address that Brightspace is currently using.
Next, click on Change your email settings link - and select the @sunyorange.edu email address desired. See screenshot below.
A pop up window should appear (see screenshot below) where you can select the radio button for your desired @sunyorange.edu email address.
Then Click Save.
