TurnItIn drop box set up for BrightSpace

This is the set up for TurnItIn drop boxes in BrightSpace that shifts some controls from TurnItIn to BrightSpace.

1.) Start a new assignment and enter name, due date and instructions

2.)Set start and end date. Be sure that the due date is between the start and dates.

3.) Set the submission type to either file submission (upload a .docx or .pdf file) or text submission (enter text in a box).

4.) TurnItIn controls are set by clicking the Manage TurnItIn link at the bottom right.

5.) Check the Enable similarity reports for this folder. Best practice is to check the option for “Allow learners to see similarity scores in their submission folder.

6.) Standard repository makes the submission available for other TurnItIn campuses.

7.) Be sure to click submit AND save at the remaining pages.
